From granitic soils on the slopes of Saint Joseph, its black/blue color is followed by killer aromas and flavors of crème de cassis, vanilla bean, espresso roast and crushed rocks. Full-bodied, rich, concentrated and elegant, with building tannin, it needs 5-6 years of cellaring and will keep for a decade (or more) after that.
