Peugh Vineyard is medium bodied and deep on the palate, with striking intensity kept fresh by lively acidity. Candied lemon, green apple, brioche, herb and citrus flowers are nicely folded together. There is lovely complexity here, not to mention striking depth. The 70 year-old, head trained vines’ massive root system and canopy managed the heat spikes exceptionally, producing a unique old vine expression of Russian River Chardonnay.
