This was Giampaolo Tabarrini's first Sagrantino, which brought him early critical acclaim. The grapes come from a silt-rich and clay soil, well exposed to the southeast, guaranteeing perfectly ripened grapes and a powerful, deep and balanced wine that is refined in big oak casks. It is released no less than four years after harvest.
