From high-density, south facing Syrah vines on granitic soils, Domaine des Remizieres' Hermitage Cuvee Emilie (made by Emilie Desmeure, of course) is the jewel of their portfolio. Rich and gamy, but loaded with red and black fruits, this wine is very structured but polished and has incredible ageing potential (15+ years if you have the patience). The tannin and acidity are very well balanced and is one of the stars of this vintage.
