Domaine de Beaurenard is a 7th generation winery, located in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Frederic and Daniel Coulon are the current generation managing the estate, which totals 32 hectares of vineyards in Chateauneuf-du-Pape and 25 hectares of vineyards in Rasteau. All parts of the property have been farmed organically for many years and they are now working biodynamically to ensure that their vineyards give them the best possible opportunity to make great wines, and keep the lands healthy for future generations of the family.
Beaurenard is one of the few producers that still work with all 13 authorized grape varietals, and their single vineyard 'Boisrenard' Chateauneuf-du-Pape (in both red and white), are co-planted field blends that are also co-fermented. The Boisrenard vineyard have the oldest vines on the property, with some reaching nearly 100 years old. They have also created a conservatory with their selections of the 13 local grapes of the region, to preserve the genetic material of the past, and create more biodiversity in the vineyards.
